Licensed Practical Nurse - PRN

The Licensed Practical Nurse's specific responsibilities with include: 
  • Perform nursing procedures according to agency policy and procedures. 
  • Work under the direction of a RN.
  • Monitor reactions and customer progress using observation and evaluation skills. 
  • Educate customers and family members according to disease process, medications, POC, treatment options, and home care procedures according to the plan of care. 
  • Report to physician and RN of adverse findings. 
  • Follow Medicare and Medicaid regulations. 
  • Follow infection control policy in and out of the office. 
  • Document skilled visit according to Medicare guidelines. 
 The Licensed Practical Nurse's education and experience requirements are: 
  • Active LPN license 
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in home health setting. 
  • CPR certification 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Proficient with computer software/hardware. 
  • Must read, write, speak and comprehend in the English language
